The Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine invites you to consider a unique educational and clinical care opportunity in our growing Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Section. We are seeking Developmental-Behavioral Pediatricians & Neuro-Developmental Pediatricians to join our faculty in beautiful North Carolina. The Section on Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics consists of (5) Physicians, (2) Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, (2) Pediatric Psychologists, and a Nurse Navigator all working closely with support staff, including the onsite Therapeutic Day Program and Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA). TDP s onsite partial day program services include Educational Therapy, Music Therapy, Recreational Therapy, and an embedded psychologist, serving our most behaviorally challenged patients. The CDSA employs Occupational and Physical Therapists, speech therapists, service coordinators, audiologists, and psychologists to serve our Birth to Three population with Early Intervention Services. Developmental Pediatricians will provide clinical care with the evaluation and management of children with a wide range of developmental and behavioral problems, including but not limited to ADHD, Autism, Developmental disabilities, etc. All academic ranks will be considered. Pediatrician will join a growing department with multiple career development opportunities: Teaching/mentorship with all levels of learners: residents, fellows, and medical students Leadership opportunities within the Department of Pediatrics and institution-wide Potential to build a Developmental & Behavioral fellowship from the ground up Opportunity to help create/develop an Autism Center of Excellence Research opportunities abound with the local CTSI and collaborators Strong community partnerships providing opportunities to aid underserved children and their families Candidates must possess the following qualifications: MD/DO degree Board certified in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disorders North Carolina licensure or eligible Wake Forest School of Medicine is the medical education and research component of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, a fully integrated academic medical center anchored by an 885-bed tertiary care hospital, community hospitals, affiliated partners and the 160-bed Brenner Children s Hospital.
