Job Description The Technical Architect is a customerfacing, strategic position within the Solutions Engineering organization. With a blend of business, technical, and sales skills, the Technical Architect acts as a domain expert who utilizes a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements. A Technical Architect helps our customers achieve a true omnichannel customer experience by applying their deep industry knowledge, understanding of data systems and integrations, and experience designing enterprise marketing solutions. Technical Architects help the sales teams develop and refine a customercentric technical sales strategy and Salesforcesolution fit. Technical Architects are subject matter experts in one or more categories that may include: application architecture, data and information, integration, security, cloud computing, personalization, customer data platforms, distributed platforms, email, mobile, social media, digital marketing strategy, artificial intelligence, and analytics. Responsibilities Be the trusted advisor to our customers, prospects, and the broader Marketing Solutions Engineering (SE) team. Work with solutions engineers to understand the customer's unique business challenges and conduct architecture and solutioning workshops. Develop technical integration approaches, including data flow and architectural diagrams. Develop customized presentations, demonstrations, and prototypes to prove the solutions business value to the customer. Orchestrate targeted workshops that drive technical approaches and best practices aligned with the customers defined business objectives and priorities. Present Salesforce Marketing Cloud technology infrastructure, with a deep understanding of the companys platform capabilities, hosting infrastructure, security, and integration capabilities. Assist Solutions Engineers in transferring knowledge to ensure successful use of the solution. Develop and deliver ongoing enablement, helpful content, repeatable solutions, and tools to support the Solutions Engineering organization. Continually participate in product, sales, and procedural trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position. Required Qualifications Strong understanding of digital marketing processes and significant experience developing and delivering datadriven marketing solutions. Fouryear college degree or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency. 5+ years of proven consulting and solutiondesign experience in working with customers. Deep understanding of and passion for the digital marketing landscape. Experience designing data flows to ingest, process and export data across multiple systems. Experience delivering presentations and demonstrations to seniorlevel business and technical audiences. Experience facilitating customerfocused workshops. Excellent timemanagement skills and the ability to support multiple, concurrent projects. Can configure an endtoend solution on the Salesforce platform. Continually looking to experiment with and learn new technology. Understanding of enterprise software sales process and methodologies. Knowledge of serverside web development design languages, scripting languages, and protocols such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON. Broad range of experience in largescale database and data warehousing technology, ETL processes, analytics and cloud technologies. Data and CDP Expertise: Salesforce Data Cloud platform experience to support presales engagements. AI Knowledge: Experience with machine learning concepts (predictive and generative AI), plus the ability to communicate value to diverse audiences. CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and modern data stacks; comfortable discussing governance, security, and integration. Understanding of REST API integrations, SDKs. Knowledge of scalable computing resources via cloud environments like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Understanding of the architecture of cloudbased platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, multitiered infrastructure and application servers. This position is defined as a remote employee (work from home office), with expected travel to clients and for internal team collaboration: 25% - 50%. Preferred Qualifications Experience working as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant or developer in a customerfacing role that provided differentiated software technology solutions. We are open to a variety of backgrounds. Data Cloud and/or Agentforce implementation experience. Expertise in designing and implementing data integrations across various systems. Handson work with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), agentbased frameworks, and prompt engineering. Proven experience presenting and demonstrating to senior business and technical stakeholders. Experience in facilitating and leading customerfocused workshops. Familiarity with enterprise software sales processes and techniques. Awareness of Data Governance and Privacy regulations. The typical base salary range for this position is $168,420 $225,260 annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $185,220 $247,730 per year.
