- Monday – Friday, with a weekend rotation and occasional holiday coverage. Typical core weekday hours are 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
/We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to:
/Practice in a dynamic and challenging subspecialty working in close collaboration with interventional radiologists, nurses, technologists and other advanced practice providers
/Care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings referred to UW Health - Interventional Radiology with acute and chronic illness such as vascular disorders, hepatobiliary disease, acute bleeding, cancer, end-stage renal failure, renal outflow disorders and need for central venous access.
/Perform minor procedures inclusive of central line removals, drain manipulation/removals, G-tube exchanges and other minor procedures as deemed necessary to optimize patient care.
/Perform triage, new patient consultation and daily rounding as an integral member of our expanding inpatient interventional radiology consult service
/If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
/If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
/If Nurse Practitioner*:
/Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
/Adult/Gero Primary Care, Adult, or Family.
/If Physician Assistant*:
/All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
