Senior Accountant- SEC Reporting St. Our client is a well-established, publicly traded organization seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex accounting projects, collaborate with senior leadership, and contribute to the preparation and review of SEC filings and financial statements. The role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys technical accounting work, staying current on regulatory updates, and playing a key role in ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
Senior Accountant SEC Reporting - Job Responsibilities
Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, SEC filings, and related disclosures.
Research and analyze complex accounting and SEC reporting issues, including GAAP and regulatory guidance.
Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to address accounting questions and support audit processes.
Assist with the implementation of new or revised accounting standards, SEC reporting requirements, and related process improvements.
Support management with board reports, financial presentations, and other reporting needs.
Assist with journal entries and ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting.
Recommend and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency in financial reporting.
Senior Accountant SEC Reporting - Qualifications
~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
~3 years+ of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to SEC reporting or public company financial statements.
~ Proficiency with accounting and reporting software, as well as Excel and other financial tools.
