Role : Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA - Onsite| Relocation & Sign-On Eligible
Type: Full-Time
Due to ongoing growth and the rollout of our container-first policy, we are hiring a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to design and implement a self-managed, Kubernetes-based container platform. This is a greenfield opportunity to shape the foundational architecture that will be used enterprise-wide across all of the company business units.
Rather, you’ll be building and deploying the first version of a standardized, scalable platform to be leveraged by engineering teams throughout the organization. Ideal candidates will come from a software engineering background and have moved into DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles with hands-on Kubernetes experience.
Lead the design and implementation of a self-managed Kubernetes container platform on internal infrastructure (not cloud-based).
Build platform components for orchestration, networking, observability, storage, and security.
Define and create templated Kubernetes solutions that can be rolled out across business units.
Write automation scripts and tools from scratch (Python preferred; Collaborate closely across departments to gather requirements and deliver platform capabilities as a service.
3+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes design, build, and deployment in a production environment
Experience with internal infrastructure (bare metal or data center Kubernetes)
Proficient in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals: networking, service mesh, RBAC, persistent storage, etc.
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
Travel & Relocation: Open to candidates willing to relocate to Atlanta
