This role spans virtual and physical environments and requires expertise in HPC workflows, automation, system patching, scripting, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure). The ideal candidate has strong Linux administration experience, thrives in engineering-driven environments, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical teams, and is passionate about automation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Daily Tasks Provide CAE Linux User Support: incident resolution, troubleshooting, and technical guidance Install and update CAE applications Monitor and maintain the overall health of the CAE Linux environment across virtual and physical systems (on-prem & cloud) Weekly Tasks Deliver status updates to team leadership on progress, pending work, and roadblocks Monthly Tasks Apply monthly system patches Enhance and maintain automation for: Application installation Network storage management User account management Annual Tasks Collaborate with CAE leadership and business stakeholders to improve the CAE Linux environment and underlying infrastructure What You'll Be Working On CAE application installation and maintenance HPC job submission script updates and optimization System patching and maintenance Automation development (BASH, Python, Ansible, Terraform/CloudFormation) Required Skills & Experience Strong Linux System Administration experience Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) experience (pre-processing, post-processing, solving workflows) Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments Scripting: BASH, Python Containers & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker Automation Tools: Ansible, Terraform or AWS CloudFormation Experience with system patching and maintenance Strong communication, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and continuous-improvement mindset Desired Skills 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience (preferred) Stable work history supporting large enterprise organizations
