Depending on Experience* Brooksource is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the Real-Time team to support the Control Center Modernization program for one of our key clients in the energy sector. This 12-month fully remote contract, beginning in October 2025, and will support two mission-critical initiatives: 1) the redesign of the Distribution Operations Control Center and 2) the Transmission Control Room video wall. As the Solutions Architect, you will lead the end-to-end architecture design for large-scale video wall and audiovisual solutions, working within existing enterprise standards and the Architecture Engagement Framework (AEF). Ideally, you have deep experience in A/V system architecture, large video wall implementations, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and vendor teams. In this role, you will be responsible for creating component-level architecture diagrams, validating vendor solutions, and guiding designs through formal approval processes. Candidates should bring a strong technical background in networking and A/V solutions, with familiarity in Real Time IT systems (ADMS/EMS) considered a plus. If you are a collaborative, detail-oriented Solutions Architect passionate about contributing to high-impact control center projects for a leading Energy & Utility company, we encourage you to apply*Minimum Qualifications:** 5+ years in solution architecture with direct experience in A/V solutions and large video wall deployments. * Strong understanding of networking concepts with ability to collaborate effectively with network architects. * Proficiency in enterprise architecture diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, ArchiMate, UML). * Experience working within a formal architecture governance process such as AEF. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate across IT, engineering, operations, and vendor teams. * Highly collaborative, adaptable, and able to work through ambiguity. * Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. * Fast learner, willing to quickly ramp up on new environments and technologies. * Comfortable working in a distributed, multi-stakeholder environment. *Preferred Qualifications:** Familiarity with Real Time IT systems (ADMS, EMS) and integration with A/V environments (preferred). *Your Responsibilities Include:** Develop and own the solution architecture for video wall and associated A/V solutions for both projects. * Create architecture diagrams at the component and server level showing protocols, interfaces, and system flows. * Work with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, Solution Architecture (SA) team, and Real Time Security Services (RTSS) engineers to ensure designs comply with existing standards. * Navigate the Architecture Engagement Framework (AEF) process to obtain required approvals. * Collaborate with vendors to validate proposed solutions against business needs and IT engineering requirements. * Partner with project managers, engineers, and vendors to iterate on designs until final approval. * Provide oversight during vendor implementation and solution validation, remaining engaged post-design approval with potential ramp-down as delivery progresses. * Engage with network architecture teams to ensure compatibility, performance, and security of solutions. *What's in it for you?* This is a high-visibility, fully remote position where you'll have the opportunity to shape the architecture for two mission-critical control center modernization projects within the energy sector.
