Preschool Lead Teacher
*Early Childhood Lead Teacher*
Lead teacher to be responsible for supervision, lesson planning and assessment in the Preschool classroom.
Observe children so they can be screened within 45 days using ASQ-3 tool.
Assess children using the Teaching Strategies Gold as an assessment tool on an ongoing basis if assigned to you by lead teacher.
Help provide activities to help meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.
Interact with the children on a daily basis and play with them at their level.
Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media – [Not videos] etc.) to teach children.
Provide individualized plans for children, depending on their developmental needs.
Maintain child staff ratios and supervise children at all times.
Maintain daily open communication, verbal and written, with parents co-teachers and administration.
Inspect and make sure damaged or lost materials are replaced by reporting to the office in writing.
