Phoenix, AZ Rate: Open End Client: Major Financial Company Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite Join a Java engineering team working across three projects in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. We’re looking for an independent contributor who takes ownership, works closely with product, and delivers small, valuable increments quickly. Technical skills ● Strong Java programming skills ● Very solid experience using Eclipse Vert.x ● Experience with SQL, Couchbase, and asynchronous processing. ● Basic understanding of security standards, including JWE/JWS. ● Familiarity with AI-assisted development, prompting, and AI agents. The team uses Claude, Codex, Copilot, and Devin. Working style ● Proactively explore, understand the product, and contribute beyond assigned tasks. ● Independently investigate issues and unblock work, coordinating with teammates when needed. ● Work directly with Product regardless of seniority. ● Bring commitment, curiosity, and a collaborative attitude, with an expectation of contributing within the first three weeks.
