Job description Sorting Robotics Inc. is on the lookout for a Robotics Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with engineers to build, test, and maintain robotic systems used in the cannabis industry. Preferred: Must be comfortable with cannabis (preferred you enjoy it and have experienced it) as we manufacture robotic innovations for the legal cannabis market in the US and Canada. RESPONSIBILITIES Assembling robotic systems and components according to engineering specifications. Conducting tests on robotic systems for performance and safety standards. Diagnosing and troubleshooting any mechanical, electrical, or programming issues that arise. Maintaining detailed records of tests, repair work, and system performance. Collaborating with team members to improve and innovate robotics processes. Participating in product development and prototyping as needed. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technologies related to robotics. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with mechanical and electronic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints. Fabrication skills with ideally some machining skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
