We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with partners and clients. *Role Overview* This position will involve representing clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including: * Commercial and business disputes – contract and shareholder actions, business torts, real-estate litigation, and UCC matters. * Estate and trust litigation – contested probate proceedings, fiduciary disputes, accounting actions, will contests, and related Surrogate's Court proceedings. * General civil litigation as it arises in support of the firm's corporate and estates practices. You will have the opportunity to handle matters from initial investigation through trial or resolution, with direct client and courtroom exposure. *Key Responsibilities** Manage an active litigation caseload across commercial, estate, and general civil matters. * Handle all phases of litigation: case assessment, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediation, trial preparation, and appeals. * Conduct and defend depositions, draft and argue motions, and appear in state and federal courts, as well as Surrogate's Court. * Provide strategic counsel aligned with client objectives and budgets. * Draft clear, persuasive pleadings, memoranda, and settlement agreements. * Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. * Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm's corporate, transactional, and estate planning teams. *Qualifications** J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar (in good standing). * 3–8 years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to both commercial and estate/trust disputes. * Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills. * Excellent organizational ability and professional judgment. * Commitment to delivering high-quality, practical legal solutions for clients. *What We Offer** Competitive base compensation plus discretionary and origination bonuses. * Flexibility and sustainable hours * Health insurance * 401(k) with firm match * Health Savings Account (HSA) option * CLE, bar dues, and professional memberships covered * PTO and firm holidays * Collaborative, collegial firm culture with direct partner access and meaningful client interaction. * Opportunities for professional growth and long-term advancement.
