Michaels Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial team in completing accounting processes and cycles.
Full Cycle Accounts Payable
Data entry of various invoices and check requests; receive, date stamp, and review for backup, GL coding and proper approvals
Review and audit expense reports, petty cash, & reimbursements
Assist with other projects and general accounting tasks as needed
2 to 3 years current and related Accounts Payable or Accounting experience required.
Required Education/Training
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years recent experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting environment
Strong accounting aptitude Ability to work in multiple systems Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office & Google Chrome environment Ability to problem solve and work independently Ability to multitask and handle high volume Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic Effective team player; Primarily an office environment, must be able to work evenings when required to meet deadlines.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
