Salary: Up to $105K + bonus potential Schedule: Hybrid (onsite in Rutherford County with remote flexibility) Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for cost analysis and process improvement? A leading manufacturer in Rutherford County is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to drive accurate cost reporting, support strategic decision-making, and optimize financial performance across operations. This role is critical to ensuring precise product costing, robust financial controls, and actionable insights for leadership. Key Responsibilities Cost Accounting & Analysis Prepare and analyze standard and actual cost reports for manufacturing operations. Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs; investigate variances and recommend corrective actions. Maintain and update cost standards, BOMs, and routing data in ERP systems. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with accurate cost allocations. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts for production costs. Provide cost projections for new product launches and process changes. Inventory & Compliance Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure accurate valuation. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with operations, procurement, and finance teams to improve cost efficiency. Deliver clear reporting and insights to senior leadership for strategic decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment . Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
