As a Senior Solutions Architect in Security Architecture & Engineering, you will serve as a trusted technical leader responsible for designing, architecting, and guiding the implementation of enterprise security solutions across our diverse technology landscape. You will work at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, ensuring that our security architecture enables innovation while protecting our e-commerce platforms, retail environments, supply chain systems, and connected device ecosystem. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to influence cross-functional teams at the enterprise level. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design Define, design, and oversee the implementation of end-to-end security architectures across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Develop reference architectures, standards, and design patterns for secure applications, infrastructure, and data flows. Partner with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, and developers to embed security into business initiatives, product launches, and digital transformation efforts. Engineering & Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership in security solution selection and integration (IAM, PAM, SIEM, EDR, cloud security, data security, DevSecOps pipelines). Drive secure design in retail payment systems, e-commerce platforms, IoT / connected devices, and SaaS solutions. Oversee proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot deployments of new security technologies, ensuring scalability and performance. Governance & Risk Alignment Translate regulatory, compliance, and industry requirements (PCI-DSS, SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, etc.) into practical security controls and architectures. Participate in security design reviews, risk assessments, and threat modeling exercises for critical projects. Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise risk management and business continuity objectives. Collaboration & Influence Act as a security advisor and consultant to business units, IT, product, and engineering teams. Influence senior leadership and stakeholders by clearly articulating trade-offs between security, usability, and cost. Mentor security engineers and architects, contributing to a culture of technical excellence. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of experience in information security, with at least 4+ years in security architecture and engineering. Proven track record in designing secure enterprise solutions in cloud-native (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid, and on-prem environments. Expertise in identity & access management, cloud security, application security, and data protection. Strong understanding of network architecture, zero-trust models, DevSecOps, and container security (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and security design principles. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience in retail, e-commerce, supply chain, or IoT / connected device security. Hands-on experience with API security, payment security (PCI-DSS), and secure mobile applications. Knowledge of security automation and orchestration (SOAR) and infrastructure-as-code security (Terraform, CloudFormation). Relevant certifications: SABSA, TOGAF, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Expert, CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP. Pay Range $123,200.00 - $162,800.00 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills / achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
