As a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine in Kentucky, you will provide critical assessment and evaluation services, contributing directly to the healthcare and well-being of those who have served. Required Skills Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Active medical license in Kentucky Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields Strong clinical assessment skills, including physical examinations and interview-based evaluations Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Nice to Have Skills Prior experience with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams Background in orthopedic surgery or similar specialties Familiarity with Veterans Affairs procedures and documentation standards Certification in relevant medical assessments or administrative procedures Preferred Education and Experience MD or DO with at least 2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or related areas Prior experience performing C&P exams, separation health assessments, or similar evaluations is highly desirable Other Requirements Own office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY, with available private space for exams Reliable internet and secure electronic reporting capability Ability to perform short-term (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) assessments on a PRN, ongoing basis Willingness to perform interviews and physical assessments without prescribing or treatment duties Commitment to completing required training and onboarding processes Travel expenses are included, but certifications and portal training costs are not reimbursed prior to start Position starts on December 31, 2025 Remote assessment services include compensation and pension exams and separation health assessments, providing flexible scheduling options to accommodate your availability. Competitive hourly rates are offered: $800 for half-day shifts (4 hours or less) and $1,600 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more), plus a one-time $650 bonus for completing training and initial exams. Weekly pay is processed via direct deposit, with comprehensive benefits, paid sick time, and reimbursements when applicable, ensuring your well-being and professional growth are prioritized.
