Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, CT scans, lab work), and develop effective treatment plans. Perform a variety of emergency procedures, including suturing, wound care, casting, and other interventions as needed. Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Manage patient flow within the ED, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring timely care delivery. Document medical records accurately and efficiently within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in emergency medicine and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted California (CA) medical license is mandatory. Board certification in Emergency Medicine is mandatory. Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical emergency medicine setting is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in emergency medicine. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment.
