Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher serving K-12 students with social/emotional disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. This role supports an inclusive educational environment, providing targeted instruction and assistance to students in both self-contained and resource settings. Located in Warwick, RI, the opportunity covers the current school year. Responsibilities include: Managing a self-contained elementary caseload of 8 students in grades K-2, collaborating with two paraeducators to deliver individualized support Providing resource support for a caseload serving 3rd and 4th grade students (caseload size TBD) Developing and implementing IEPs tailored to students needs in social/emotional disabilities and autism spectrum areas Monitoring student progress and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance learning outcomes Maintaining clear communication with families and school staff to promote student success Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 education Experience working with young learners (K-4), particularly those with social/emotional disabilities and autism spectrum disorders Ability to collaborate effectively with paraeducators and other school personnel Strong organizational and communication skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment This role offers highly competitive compensation with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and more.
