Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Seeking qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support K-12 students in a full-semester contract position in Farmington, NM. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, providing specialized educational services tailored to students with visual impairments. Delivering individualized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across K-12 grade levels Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to implement effective learning strategies Assessing students needs and adapting materials and resources to facilitate access to the curriculum Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate documentation Promoting independence and skill development in mobility, Braille literacy, and assistive technology use Preferred qualifications and experience: Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) credential or equivalent licensure Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive instructional methods Strong munication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in both full-time and part-time capacities Location: Farmington, New Mexico, serving a K-12 school environment This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational experience of visually impaired students throughout the semester.
