Senior Project Manager – Data Modernization Contract Duration: 6 months, with potential for an additional 6-month extension About the Role We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong Business Analyst / Project Management background to lead a critical data modernization initiative supporting financial sales and accounting operations. The project involves replacing an existing financial application with a modern cloud-based data platform (Databricks). While the application development and system replacement will be executed by an outsourced partner, this role will own requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, and overall project leadership. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager with strong requirements and stakeholder management expertise. Prior experience leading a data modernization or cloud transformation initiative (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms). Experience managing and leading outsourced vendors, including driving technical execution and accountability. Strong business presence with the ability to manage executive-level stakeholders and resolve conflict effectively. Demonstrated experience with budget management and forecasting. Ability to be onsite in Stillwater, MN for workshops and as project needs arise. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with financial, sales, or accounting systems. Familiarity with hybrid project environments utilizing MS Project and Jira. Key Responsibilities Lead requirements discovery and definition for a financial application modernization initiative. Facilitate and drive design and requirements workshops with business and technical stakeholders. Serve as the primary project lead and liaison between internal stakeholders and the outsourced delivery partner (TCS). Oversee project execution, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality are met. Manage budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate project planning and delivery using MS Project or MS Planner; delivery teams will manage execution through Jira. Navigate and manage multiple stakeholders, addressing risks, dependencies, and conflicts proactively. Provide onsite leadership as needed for workshops and key project milestones.
