We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Healing Partners.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality wound care services to residents in long-term care facilities, promoting optimal healing outcomes, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve exceptional patient results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care settings.
  • Examine and treat chronic and acute episodic wound-related illnesses and accidents, minor injuries, and accidents.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow-up procedures.
  • Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures associated with wound care.
  • Collaborate with the medical director in the care and treatment of residents and staff.
  • Apply and manage topical wound care and associated wound management products.
  • Direct and recommend associated services to improve wound healing outcomes.
  • Educate patients and primary care physicians on current wound management practices.

Requirements:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state.
  • Active, unrestricted APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
  • Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand and walk for 4+ hours.
  • Able to lift 100 pounds to assist fallen residents.
  • Able to lift 10 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.
  • Pushing/Pulling 70+ pounds when administering patient care.
  • Bending/squatting/kneeling/twisting when administering patient care.
  • Depth perception when performing medical procedures.

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks), and chemical hazards.
  • Will travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities within your local area.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year.
  • Provider Bonus Plan: Eligible.
