The Pain Management Physician Assistant duties include but not limited to: Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns; Reviewing patient's medical history: Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines; Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain; Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options; Performing joint injections; Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies; Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients; Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development. Qualifications: Active VA and/or MD license; Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred; Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
