This role will be for an initial 3-6 months and $ will be DOE but varies from $50-60dph.

Role Overview :

As a Structural Checker , you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of marine/offshore structures. You will be responsible for reviewing structural designs, calculations, and drawings, ensuring they meet industry codes, regulations, and project specifications. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are structurally sound and meet all safety and quality

standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review structural drawings, designs, and calculations for offshore structures, vessels, and platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO, DNV, and ASME).
  • Perform checks on materials, design assumptions, load calculations, and structural integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to identify potential issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and prepare reports on structural compliance.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality control throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Participate in site inspections to verify structural components and installations.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in structural checking, particularly within the marine/offshore industry or water services not land
  • Solid understanding of structural analysis, design, and materials for marine/offshore applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (ISO, DNV, ABS, API, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in structural design software and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
