Our Electricity client is looking for a Compensation Analyst for a 6+ month contract in Princeton, NJ (Hybrid). You will be responsible for crafting engaging content, including headlines, persuasive body copy, and calls-to-action for a variety of marketing communications media (e.g., web, digital display, social, print, radio, video/TV, and direct mail) targeted and personalized toward prospective and current retail customer segments.

Responsibilities:

  • Display strategic, tactical, and campaign-oriented thinking and the ability to grasp complex subject matter and translate it into compelling copy for the average consumer in everyday language.
  • Showcase comfort with authoring content incorporating SEO, data-driven, and persona-based insights.
  • Adhere to brand standards and take initiative/ownership of projects.
  • Write high-converting retail marketing communication aligned with the brand voice(s) across various media.
  • Create personalized content for prospective and current customers, as needed, in various stages of the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce customer-facing material that is on-brand and adheres to strategy.
  • Grasp technical concepts and product details while making them easy to understand for the audience.
  • Translate creative briefs into understandable and compelling assets.
  • Participate in strategy discussions and provide creative solutions.
  • Effectively present work to and incorporate feedback from senior-level reviewers, including legal and regulatory input.
  • Update all relevant webpage content through Adobe Experience Manager. Training will be provided in this system, as needed.
  • Research clients, competitors, industry trends, and internal products/services relevant to the communications project.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop creative concepts.
  • Proofread materials for colleagues and provide quality control.
  • Ensure consistency and maintain brand integrity and compliance among all creative copy.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional marketing communications/advertising copywriting experience in an agency, in-house creative group, or similar setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
  • Portfolio of marketing and advertising copywriting work.
  • Ability to write in several styles and juggle multiple projects at once.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Portfolio of marketing and advertising copywriting work, ideally including digital, web, print, social media, and short- and long-form copy.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing and advertising concepts and campaign themes across a variety of media.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with web content management systems, such as Adobe Experience Manager, and experience with browser-based project management systems.
