We are looking for a market-facing Principal on the West coast to help our established bridge engineering offering continue to grow. Our teams work on design, assessment, and construction engineering. We work on pedestrian bridges like the Seaside Way Convention Center Performing Arts Center Pedestrian Bridge to larger modern cable-stayed bridge projects like the US 181 Harbor Bridge Replacement in Corpus Christi. This role can be based out of or near our Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Oakland office locations.
Build and maintain relationships with key agency and contractor clients as well as potential collaborators
Bid and win bridge engineering work
Lead major bridge projects as a Project Director to deliver successful outcomes
You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar field of engineering study
~20 or more years of experience successfully delivering major bridge projects as a design manager, project manager or project director
~ Alternative project delivery experience (e.g. design build, PPP, PDB, CMGC)
~ Experience building client relationships and winning work
~ Professional Engineering License
