Quality Plastics Technician / Inspector Our client in Roseville, MI is seeking a hard-working and dependable Quality Plastics Technician / Inspector to join their team. This person is responsible for inspecting plastic molded parts and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards. This role supports production by identifying defects, documenting inspection results, and assisting with continuous quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Inspect plastic molded parts and assemblies using visual and dimensional inspection methods Verify parts meet specifications, blueprints, control plans, and customer requirements Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections as required Identify and document defects such as flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, and surface imperfections Use measuring and inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical tools Complete inspection records, SPC data, and quality documentation accurately Communicate quality issues and trends to Quality and Production teams Assist with containment activities and corrective actions when quality issues are identified Support first article inspections and part approvals Follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures Maintain clean and organized inspection and work areas Perform preventative maintenance and basic calibration checks on inspection equipment Other duties as assigned Job Requirements & Qualifications Previous quality inspection experience in a plastics or manufacturing environment preferred Knowledge of injection molding processes and plastic materials Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Familiarity with common plastic defects and quality standards Experience using precision measuring tools Basic math and data entry skills Strong attention to detail and strong documentation skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Good attendance and reliability Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment High School Diploma or GED required Equipment Used Calipers Micrometers Height gauges Optical comparators (as applicable) Other inspection and measuring equipment Pay: $17-$20 and up DOE Shift: 1st shift About Cardinal Staffing At Cardinal Staffing, a Surestaff Company, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
