Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract Job Description We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week local contract assignment at a respected healthcare facility in Dallas, Texas. This position is ideal for nurses who want competitive pay, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to work close to home. Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies Requirements Active RN license in the state of practice Minimum 1–2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience BLS and ACLS (AHA required) NRP certification required Schedule: Nights/3x12s/36 hours per week/nPay: $60.00 an hour /nStart Date: 01/12/26 About American Consultants Since 1989, American Consultants has been the leader in national healthcare staffing and consulting services.
