Role : Quality Assurance Specialist Location: Houston, TX (Energy Corridor – 915 N. Client Feedback – Key Skill Gaps Identified Candidates MUST meet these requirements with recent, hands-on professional experience : Current use of VB/VBScript or other scripting language Ability to read, write, and debug scripting code Actively performing QA test script creation, execution, debugging, reporting Strong hands-on SQL – read, write, debug, execute queries Role: IT Quality Assurance Specialist IV Responsibilities Design and execute automated test plans Interpret and review system requirements Execute regression test cases Track QA metrics Collaborate in Agile environment for continuous quality improvement Mandatory Skills Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field 6+ years experience as QA Automation Engineer Hands-on with UFT and/or : Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework, JMeter Proficiency in: VBScript JavaScript / Python / Ruby Strong SQL experience Excellent communication skills Strong collaboration capabilities, team player Nice-to-Have Skills Test tools: Azure DevOps, TestRail, Jira, ServiceNow Testing methodologies: Regression, Unit, Integration, System, Blackbox Agile/Scrum experience Knowledge of Commercial Gas Transmission Pipeline Systems Experience with Azure cloud Soft Skills Self-driven, analytical, detail-oriented Ability to manage multiple tasks, tight deadlines Strong documentation and problem-solving skills Solid SDLC understanding Position Details Type: Contract Length: 12 months Hours: 8 hrs/day Interview Process: TBD Background Check: Yes Relocation: No Non-local candidates: Allowed, must relocate at own cost What We Are Looking For TODAY We need 1 excellent candidate with: Strong hands-on automation Active scripting experience Strong SQL Excellent communication Recent, relevant experience (not from 3–5 yrs ago) No leads, no managers, no theoretical QA.
