Welcome to Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties. Our Nursing staff is essential and important to us, just as the care they provide to the pets and clients in our community. We are looking for an ER Outpatient Technician to join our team Our Outpatient Technician plays a vital role in the hospital, providing critical care, assisting with diagnostics and treatments, and communicating medical updates and treatment plans to pet owners.

 **WE ARE OFFERING A $1,500 SIGNING BONUS FOR THIS ROLE**
**$1,500 RELOCATION BONUS MAY APPLY FOR HIGHLY QUALIFIED REGISTERED TECHNICIANS RELOCATING WITHIN THE PARKER COLORADO AREA**
3/ per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6pm-6am

~ Wednesday - Saturday
~The ER Outpatient Technician’s primary responsibility is to triage patients as they present to the Emergency Room according to triage levels. Assess pets and provide immediate lifesaving care under the direction of the ER doctor as required for critical patients. Provides history, vitals, and concerns to doctors to assist in the timely and appropriate management of emergency patients. Communicate medical updates, financial, and treatment plans to owners.
Triage patients as they come into the ER with appropriate medical decision making and escalation to ER doctor as appropriate.
Immediately respond to STAT calls and follow the appropriate patient care protocols
Perform sedation and anesthesia according to established hospital protocols (induction, maintenance, monitoring and recovery).
Maintain accurate paperless medical records utilizing EzyVet and Smartflow
Demonstrate working knowledge of financial and charging practices including creating estimates and discussing with the owners, collecting payment and discharging patients.
Collaborate with all departments across the hospital to ensure that all patients are receiving the best possible patient care
Contribute to the overall needs, cleanliness and organization of the hospital.
At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required
High school diploma or equivalent
Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician or the ability to become registered upon hire
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus
At least 1 Veterinary Technician experience in an Emergency or Specialty Practice
Ability to adhere to strict attendance policies
Ability to handle fluctuation caseload and emergency situations.
