It's designed to help patients recover from serious illness, injury, or surgery-especially those transitioning from intensive care. Specialized Rehab Services : Offers intensive therapy for conditions like stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, neurological disorders, amputation , and other complex conditions. Therapy Intensity : Patients typically receive 15 hours of therapy per week , guided by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and therapists. Modern Facility : Located on the first floor, the unit is equipped with advanced rehab equipment and designed to support recovery in a focused, patient-centered environment. Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Provides educational information to patients in regard to injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy and rehabilitation therapy. Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment. Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires. Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient. Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications. Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation. Bachelor's Degree Required Physical Therapist License in Texas Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
