About the Company We are seeking a highly experienced Supervising Attorney to join the Hope’s Door Legal Center team, providing vital support to survivors of domestic violence with information, legal advice, and representation in family law, matrimonial actions, custody and visitation, child support, and orders of protection. The ideal candidate will be passionate about serving marginalized communities and committed to ensuring justice and safety for domestic violence survivors. All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description. About the Role The Supervising Attorney will supervise and mentor staff attorneys, provide consultations and strategic guidance, review pleadings and motions, and represent a limited caseload of clients directly in court. Responsibilities Oversee the staff attorneys, ensuring strong legal strategies and professional development. Conduct consultations and provide legal advice to clients and staff. Write, review and approve pleadings, motions, and court submissions. Represent clients in Westchester County courts on select matters. Collaborate with the Chief of Legal Services and community partners to strengthen legal advocacy for survivors. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to practice law in New York State, in good standing. 10+ years of legal experience, including litigation, negotiation and drafting, in family law, preferably DV practice. Required Skills Strong leadership skills with proven experience mentoring attorneys. Commitment to trauma informed, culturally competent legal advocacy. Preferred Skills Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Pay range and compensation package Total Compensation Potential: Up to $102,780–$112,780 annually, including a monthly cash benefit of $1,065 (equivalent to up to $12,780 per year), which can be applied to insurance premiums or added directly to your paycheck.
