A tech services organization in Illinois is seeking a Sr. Technical Business Analyst to join their team in Chicago. This hybrid role involves partnering with business and technical stakeholders to align solution design, documentation, testing, and implementation efforts.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week)
Responsibilities:
Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across business, project, and technical teams
Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications, including functional and non-functional requirements
Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to support solution design, feasibility analysis, and testing alignment
Create user stories, use cases, process flows, and related documentation to support implementation
Facilitate stakeholder meetings, resolve requirement gaps, and provide clarification throughout the delivery lifecycle
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience in business analysis or a similar role
Experience working as a Technical Business Analyst in a software development or technology-driven environment
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices
Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, including interviews, workshops, and use case modeling
Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Desired
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience with business process modeling and process improvement methodologies
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint or Teams
Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Tandym Group
