Principal Mechanical Engineer - Surgical Robotics
Are you passionate about advancing surgical innovation? A pioneering surgical robotics company in the Boston is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team and help design the next generation of robotic systems.
This is an exciting role that will involve both handson development work mixed with shaping the R&D pipeline and strategy of the product that is still in a proofofconcept stage.
Lead mechanical design for complex robotic systems, ensuring precision, reliability, and manufacturability.
Collaborate crossfunctionally with electronics, software, and clinical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Drive innovation in mechanisms, actuators, and assemblies for minimally invasive surgical platforms.
Oversee design reviews, prototyping, and validation to meet stringent medical device standards.
Significant experience in mechanical design for robotics, medical devices, or highprecision systems.
Expertise in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks), tolerance analysis, and materials selection.
Proven track record of leading projects from concept through commercialization.
Strong academics and fundamentals.
Work on groundbreaking technology that directly impacts patient outcomes.
Potential for hybrid working.
