*POSITION OVERVIEW:*
We are seeking a dedicated part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team of medical professionals. The candidate will provide high-quality acute and primary care services to adults. Previous experience in providing primary care and proficiency with medical instruments and ancillary services are important keys to success in this role. You will perform physical exams, recording patient medical histories, create patient care plans, and administering diagnostic tests.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Work autonomously and in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
- Providing acute and primary care services to adults within your scope of practice.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
- Focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and health education.
- Order, conduct, supervise, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests.
- Prescribe pharmacological agents and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Help patients make better lifestyle and health choices.
- Make an assessment of a patient’s health status and diagnosis
- Develop a treatment plan, and document plan.
- Maintain complete and accurate chart entries on patient transactions.
- Recording progress notes summarizing patient clinical care within 48 hrs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Monitor patients and provide continuity of care between visits.
- Participate fully as a member of the clinic staff. This includes participating in developing, executing and periodically reviewing the clinic's written policies, treatment protocols, and services provided to patients, participating in quality assurance review of the clinic's patient records.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Iowa
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
