Cardiovascular Technologist Job Summary

A Cardiovascular Technologist at Norman Regional Health System provides patient care and prepares medical equipment for cardiovascular procedures. This role requires maintaining a sterile environment and serving as a preceptor for new staff while collaborating with cardiologists and electrophysiologists.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Technologist to join our Cath Lab team, working closely with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists in a state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower with three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
Responsibilities

Prepare medical equipment before and during procedures, ensuring proper functioning and sterility.
Evaluate patient conditions and provide care according to established protocols.
Maintain a sterile environment during procedures, adhering to strict guidelines.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including cardiologists and electrophysiologists, to deliver exceptional patient care.
Serve as a preceptor for new staff members and radiology students, facilitating their professional development.
Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
One year of experience in a Cath Lab setting, preferably with RCIS certification.
Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
