Avera St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team.
About the Role

This position involves performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests and related duties, utilizing scientific principles and technical skills. The ideal candidate will emphasize quality control, procedure maintenance, and commitment to continuing education in the laboratory field.
Responsibilities

Perform clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties with precision and accuracy.
Utilize scientific principles, technical skills, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory operations, quality control, and procedure/instrument maintenance.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related science, completed through a NAACLS accredited program.
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent within 12 months of hire.

Work Schedule

Varied shift schedule: 8 am - 6 pm, 7:30 am - 4 pm, noon - 8 pm, or 2:30 pm - 11 pm.
May fill in on overnight shifts as needed.
