Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist

As a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System, you will play a crucial role in our cardiovascular program. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining equipment while ensuring a sterile environment for patient care.
About the Role
This position requires strong professional relationships with cardiologists and involves training new staff while adhering to safety and accreditation standards. You will be responsible for identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care while establishing and maintaining a sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Preparation : Prepare equipment before and during procedures, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely.
Patient Care : Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care while maintaining a sterile environment.
Sterile Environment : Establish and maintain a sterile environment, adhering to safety and accreditation standards.
Preceptorship : Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
Quality Improvement : Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
Requirements
Education : Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration and/or current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
Experience : Previous Procedural Area experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification : ARRT registration, RCIS certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training are required. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
Compensation Package
The estimated salary range for this position is
$27.84-$45.46/hour , based on previous work experience.
