About Norman Regional Health System

Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system located at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. Our innovative cardiovascular program is expanding, and we are seeking a Registered Technologist to join our team. We have a state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower with three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. Our team works closely with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to deliver high-quality healthcare.

Job Responsibilities

This role involves preparing and operating equipment during cardiac procedures while maintaining a sterile environment and providing patient care. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing equipment before and during procedures
Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
Maintaining a sterile environment
Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
Using downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
Maintaining strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
Completion of a 24-month formal Radiologic Technology program or military program, with eligibility and/or current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Previous Procedural Area experience is preferred
Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be maintained through re-training during employment
Achieving ACLS training within 6 months of hire and maintaining it through duration of employment
