Prepares the operating field. Assists the surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operation and passes items as needed to the operating surgeon. Adheres to sterile technique. Assists in preparing and moving patients. Cleans operative suite in between cases and terminally. Cleans, prepares, packages, and stores instruments and supplies according to decontamination and sterilization standards. Assists in maintaining adequate supply levels.

This is a position in an ambulatory surgical center. There is a risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens, chemical hazards, and radiation hazards. The position requires high-level visual and auditory acuity. Will occasionally require overhead and low reaching. Must be able to move quickly, stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.

In addition to job specific skills required, the right candidate must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, co-workers, supervisory staff and surgeons. The right candidate must also demonstrate professionalism, accountability, responsibility and integrity. We are a small group and every one is an integral part of our day to day operation.
