Position Summary:
This is a Monday through Friday position. The Recovery Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating and providing a full array of outreach-based services for women seeking recovery. The RSS assists women whose needs go beyond the scope of a treatment counselor, therapist, psychiatrist, or case manager. The RSS will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to women in recovery in order to promote and strengthen long-term recovery.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High school diploma or GED, completion of a Recovery Peer Specialist Certification Program.
Other:
Experience with recovery in community programs (i.e. 12-step programs, church groups, and neighborhood organizations in communities) where support services will be most needed.
Completion of a Recovery Peer Specialist Certification Program.
Current Driver's license.
