dedicated to the pursuit of health equity.Position SummaryReporting to the ACCOO of Imaging and Diagnostic Services, the incumbent will plan, direct, organize, control and evaluate the operations of Breast Imaging, Ultrasound, and Vascular lab operations. This position has 24X7 responsibilities of these assigned areas including staffing, supplies and equipment. This position is responsible for overall operations ensuring efficient workflows and patient throughput and managing personnel including managers, technologists, medical assistants and clerical staff. Assist with budgets, human resources, hospital billing, and customer relations. Acts as a resource to physicians and staff on current trends and policy changes relative to Imaging operations and provides training, if necessary, on these issues. Is also accountable for the ongoing evaluation of financial performance measures, assessing department's compliance with a variety of regulatory agencies and achievement of the goals and objectives of the areas of responsibility.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDirect the operations of Breast Imaging, Ultrasound and Vascular lab, through assigned managers and if needed directly to provide 24x7 oversight.Direct daily operations of Inpatients, Outpatients and Off-site locations for Breast Imaging, Ultrasound and Vascular Lab.Manage the purchase and replacement of equipment and maintain proper inventory control for these equipmentWorking with Section Managers, manages the human resources functions including hiring, training, and disciplining of staffWork with hospital finance and IT to update and maintain charge description master and ensure that charges are billed appropriately. Responsible for identifying and recommending process to improve revenues and reduce expensesResponsible for managing the operational and capital budget within the set guidelinesResponsible for the Quality Assurance program for operational areas of responsibilityEvaluate and recommend modifications to the Information systems in order to better capture revenuesResponsible for keeping current and providing in-services, as necessary, on Joint Commission , HIPPA, IDPH, IEMA, CMS policy changes, and other state and federal policy issues related to Radiology operationsEstablishes and assures the achievement of the goals and objectives for the Hospital operations in support of overall strategic goals of the department and organizationEnsures departmental policies and procedures are reviewed and up-dated regularly as required by the university, medical center and external regulatory agenciesAs a member of the Department management staff, provides primary input to senior level department management on decisions affecting Interventional Imaging Suite operations as well as feedback on global programmatic, planning and policy issuesCoordinates with peers to achieve organizational goals and objectives and to share information, solicit ideas, and resolve both basic and complex problems of mutual interest and concernAssures timely and appropriate communication to staff pertaining to all aspect of operations.
