*Summary:*

The Senior Machinist is a highly skilled professional responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced machining equipment to produce high-precision components. This role requires a deep understanding of machining processes, tool selection, and quality control, as well as the ability to lead and mentor junior machinists.

*Job Specific Functions:*

*Qualifications:*
* Must be proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming with the ability to troubleshoot, edit, prove out processes, perform first piece runs, and recommend changes to programs on multi-axis machine tools proficiently.
* Minimum of 5+ years of experience in machining, with a proven track record in a senior or lead machinist role.
* Proficiency in understanding of CNC and relevant machine operating and programming. Okuma IGF++++++++++++++
* Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and precision measurement tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team of machinists.

*Machining Operations:*
* Operate CNC and manual machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other precision equipment.
* Set up and program machines according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
* Conduct precision measurements and inspections to ensure components meet stringent tolerances.

*Technical Expertise:*
* Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
* Ensure the production schedule is executed as per planning requirements.
* Monitors/controls and maintains Global Shop ERP system, including clocking through jobs.
* Select appropriate tooling and materials based on job specifications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machining processes, tooling, and equipment.

*Quality Control:*
* Monitor and maintain high standards of quality throughout the machining process.
* Perform routine maintenance and calibration of machines to ensure optimal performance.
* Document and report any discrepancies or defects, implementing corrective actions as needed.

*Leadership and Mentoring:*
* Lead and supervise a team of machinists, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to junior machinists.
* Foster a collaborative work environment and promote best practices in machining.

*Employment Expectations:*
* Stay on task, follow the schedule, and help others stay productive.
* Follow and develop procedures and complete work correctly the first time.
* Properly maintain materials and use them only for their authorized/intended purpose.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
