They are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Mechatronics design to lead the mechanical design and integration of robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, and will be responsible for driving the design, development, and optimization of complex mechatronic components within our clients robotic platforms.Key Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical design and development of mechatronic systems, ensuring integration of electrical, mechanical, and software components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing, to deliver highly reliable robotic systems. Develop, prototype, and test mechanical systems, including actuators, sensors, and robotics mechanisms. Optimize mechanical designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company requirements. Oversee the lifecycle of mechatronic systems from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and performance targets. Provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and simulation of complex electromechanical systems. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in robotics and mechatronics.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred). 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics and robotics design. Strong understanding of mechatronic systems, including actuators, motors, sensors, and control systems. Proven experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS). Expertise in the design and analysis of precision mechanisms, electromechanical systems, and robotic assemblies. Experience with system integration, prototyping, and hands-on troubleshooting. Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing complex projects and mentoring teams. Familiarity with robotic standards and safety protocols is a plus.
Preferred Skills:Experience working with autonomous systems, industrial robots, or mobile robotics. Knowledge of control theory, embedded systems, and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++). Familiarity with material selection, manufacturing processes, and mechanical testing methods.
