About Us
Founded in 1852, GSC is a member of the University System of Georgia. The college has a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service. GSC offers nearly 30 degrees, which includes multiple associate and baccalaureate pathways for students. With an enrollment of over 3,100 students, GSC offers an intimate academic setting with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories. In this setting, students receive individualized attention that only a small college with dedicated faculty and staff can provide.
Job SummaryUnder the Direction of Information Technology, the Student Assistant will assist the department by answering phones and directing calls, assisting students with password changes and basic software issues.
ResponsibilitiesPart of the responsibilities of the Student Assistant will be to help staff in the Instructional Complex (IC) computer lab during daytime hours and ensuree that the proper supplies are available for the students. Will also assist Information Technology Staff with various other duties as needed.
Information Technology will be flexible and work with students around their academic schedules, but students are expected to behave professionally by showing up on time and informing staff ahead of time if they will not meet their work commitment.
Required QualificationsMust be enrolled in at least six (6) academic credit hours.
Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
