We are searching for a Senior Medical Director in St. Louis, MO. The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for leadingour provider teams in the local market. In this role, the Senior MedicalDirector will partner with the Regional Vice President to achieve operationaland clinical excellence and deliver world-class performance in hospitaladmissions, quality, patient satisfaction, clinician satisfaction, and medicalcost management.
To maintain a close connection with our patients, the SeniorMedical Director will practice primary care in our clinics 2 1/2 days per week.Reporting to the Executive Medical Director for the region, the Senior MedicalDirector will develop physician leadership among providers throughout themarket, supported by Provider Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadand manage provider teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Partnerwith the Regional Vice President to drive excellence in hospital admissions,quality, patient satisfaction, clinician satisfaction, and medical costmanagement.
- Practiceprimary care in our clinics 2 1/2 days per week to stay connected withpatients.
- Reportto the Executive Medical Director for the region.
- Developphysician leadership in providers across the market.
- Utilizea metrics-driven approach to analyze cost, quality, and satisfaction data toinform clinical strategy and program redesign.
Qualifications:
- Minimumof 5 years of experience in outpatient practice.
- Minimumof 3 years of experience in a physician management role or as a medicaldirector, managing a medical group of 20 or more providers.
- Extensiveexperience in clinical leadership roles, with a track record of leading andcoaching physicians.
- Experiencewith managed care and/or value-based practice and familiarity withpayer-provider collaboration.
- Proficiencyin using a metrics-driven approach to analyze data for cost, quality, andsatisfaction to drive clinical strategy and program improvements.
