Hours and Compensation Potential:
Full-time position with a combination of day and evening shifts.
Shifts are rotated and are 8 hours long, with start times at 5am, 7:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm.
Approximately 80% of shifts are during the day and 20% in the evenings. Weekends are rotated, typically every 4th weekend.
Compensation range is $54/hr-$75/hr based on experience.
$2.75/hr shift differential for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus.
What We're Seeking:
PharmD degree required. Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
Hospital experience preferred. Will consider candidates with a retail background.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Compound and/or dispense medications to patients and provide drug information and education to optimize the quality of care.
Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system, ensuring the patient's medication profile is complete.
Provide timely and accurate drug and toxicological information to customers to enhance knowledge and minimize risk of adverse events.
Perform accurate calculations of caloric and/or electrolyte ingredients for TPN, ensuring proper administration of patients' nutritional therapy.
Monitor patients' drug therapy by screening for potential medication issues and resolving problems related to drug interactions, incompatibilities, and potential allergies without causing harm to the patient.
Apply pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic principles to personalize drug dosing for patients.
Additional Information:
This position reports to a new Director following the retirement of the previous director.
