Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our Nelsonville, OH team.

As an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) , you will perform duties within the scope of education, training, and experience and under the direct supervision of the Site Manager/Dental Provider. Some of the EFDA's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
EFDA duties allowed by the state of Ohio to include placement of amalgam and composite restorations after the dentist has prepared the tooth, placement of sealants, and other preventative procedures.
Competently operates standard dental equipment which may include autoclave, air/water syringe, suction, x-ray unit, dental units, and other office specific equipment
Competently operates dental office software.
Coordinates patient intake and preparation for exam functions in a constant, steady fashion
Maintains organization and sets priorities to facilitate patient flow
Prepares the dental operatory for the specific procedure determined by the dentist
Takes patient's vital signs and any radiographs as needed for the exam. These may include a Panorex, full-mouth series, Bitewings, periapical or occlusal radiographs.

What do we look for in our Dental Assistants
Eligible to work in the United Stated
HS Diploma or Equivalent
EFDA Certification
General operator's license in dental radiology is required.
Good computer and telephone skills
Exemplary customer service skills required.
Requires current CPR/BLS
