Casey McCaffrey is a co-owner of Expansion Speech Therapy. She is a Speech Language Pathologist, Feeding Specialist, and Certified Lactation Counselor who has worked in multiple settings over her career including acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient therapy programs, schools, and home care.

Casey graduated with her master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2012. She has extensive experience in infant and child feeding and swallowing disorders as well as a wide variety of speech and language disorders. Casey has special interest areas in feeding and school aged language therapy. Casey believes that feeding your child does not have to feel stressful, let her show you how to put the bonding and fun back in mealtimes.

Jaime Wagner received a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders from The Pennsylvania State University in 2008 and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Towson University in 2010. She completed her training as a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2015.

The majority of Jaime's clinical experience was completed in a pediatric hospital setting. She specializes in evaluating and treating pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. Jaime feels particularly passionate about supporting children with medical complexities. She also has experience working with infant and toddlers in home-based early intervention services. Jaime enjoys working with early language development, speech sound production, and voice disorders. Jaime is a wife and mother of two beautiful children. She is well-versed in navigating specialty care and therapy services from a parent's perspective

Amy McCaffrey is a co-owner of Expansion Speech Therapy. She received her bachelor's degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2014 and completed her master's degree at Ithaca College in 2016. Amy has been focusing on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) her entire career. She has worked with children with a wide variety of diagnoses and access methods (touch, eye gaze, and switch scanning) across settings. She has experience in schools, hospitals and outpatient programs, specializing in AAC. Amy evaluates and treats with a strengths-based approach to identify what a child can do independently and how to enhance that skill in order to increase participation and/or communication. Each child is unique, and each child should be provided the opportunity to communicate.

Jamie Rosenstein received her bachelor's degree in special education and elementary education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2007. As a special education teacher, Jamie utilized Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to support her students in more effectively and independently communicating within the classroom setting. She was immediately hooked

Jamie began pursuing a career as a speech language pathologist, receiving her master's degree from Monmouth University in 2017. Since graduating, Jamie has experience working in special education schools, outpatient facilities, and pediatric hospital settings, where she gained extensive experience in AAC, as well as a wide variety of speech and language disorders. Jamie is a neuro-affirming clinician, using a strengths-based approach when evaluating and treating her patients. In 2022, Jamie began working as an adjunct professor, teaching the graduate level AAC course within the department of speech language pathology at Thomas Jefferson University.

Overview: We are seeking dedicated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with specialized expertise in Feeding and Swallowing to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. This position focuses on providing evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients in motor speech, receptive and expressive language, and feeding and swallowing disorders, aiming to improve their safety, efficiency, and enjoyment of eating. The ideal candidates will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for pediatric care, and a commitment to maximizing swallowing function and nutrition/hydration in children.

In this role you will:

Assess, Treat and Educate Patients & their Families (75%)

Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients with feeding and swallowing disorders, including clinical observations, interpreting instrumental assessments (e.g., videofluoroscopic swallow study, fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing), and collaborating with medical professionals as needed.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to address feeding and swallowing difficulties.

Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients, including oral-motor exercises, sensory integration techniques, behavioral interventions, and adaptive feeding strategies.

Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams (e.g., physicians, occupational therapists, dietitians) to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment plans.

Educate and train families, caregivers, and educational staff on feeding and swallowing disorders, treatment goals, and strategies for supporting safe and effective feeding practices.

Documentation, Professional Development and Advocacy (25%)

Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve feeding and swallowing goals and improve overall nutrition and hydration.

Stay current with advancements in pediatric feeding and swallowing research, techniques, and technologies, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.

Advocate for patients' nutritional needs and support their transition to age-appropriate feeding milestones.

About You

You have (required):
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks, as well as the appropriate instructional certification.
Valid Driver's License (and willingness to drive)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, with a focus on feeding and swallowing disorders preferred.
Specialized training or certification in pediatric feeding and swallowing highly desirable.
Proficiency in conducting feeding and swallowing assessments and interpreting results from instrumental evaluations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation, patient/family education, and professional collaboration.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice in pediatric feeding and swallowing.
