Summary:

Position operates all equipment, computers, and digital imaging/processing equipment during assigned shift and on-call in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). Performs duties such as scrub assistant, procedure documentation/hemodynamic monitoring, and safe X-ray equipment operation/digital processing as appropriate. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development to perform procedures on and assist in the care of the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. -

Requirements:

  • Current RT(R), RCIS, RCES
  • Current Texas MRT license if current ARRT (R)
  • Current BLS and ACLS-- American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program or an accredited Cardiovascular program or hold an RCIS license
  • Prior acute care hospital experience preferred (Cath Lab/Cardiology, Advanced Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology)
  • Basic knowledge of cardiac cath lab and hemodynamic monitoring

    Must Obtain:

    • ACLS within 1 year of hire
    • Cath Lab Registry within (2) years of hire for Rad Tech
    • Registry within 6 months if graduate from accredited cardiovascular program
