Position Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Open Heart OR Surgical Technologist to join our state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Operating Room. While our primary focus is CVOR, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your versatility across various specialties.Compensation
* Competitive hourly rate: $58 per hour
* Excellent benefits package

Schedule
* 10-hour day shifts
* Flexible start times: 7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, or 1:00 PM (based on need)
* Rotating weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in complex open heart surgeries and other cardiovascular procedures
* Prepare and maintain a sterile field
* Anticipate surgeon's needs and provide instruments and supplies promptly
* Ensure proper handling and care of surgical instruments and equipment
* Collaborate effectively with the surgical team

Qualifications
* Associates Degree from an accredited Surgical Technology program
* Minimum 2 years of formal in-hospital experience
* Certification from NBSTSA
* Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* Experience in CVOR preferred
* Proficiency in orthopedic, neurosurgery, and general surgery cases

Additional Information
* Previous travel experience preferred but not required
* COVID-19 medical/religious exemptions accepted
* 16 hours of unbillable orientation (held on Mondays)
* Local candidates within a 75-mile radius welcome
* Opportunity for mandatory overtime as part of the unit's rotation pool
* Potential to float to different departments or facilities within 30 miles
