Join Avera as a Lead Athletic Trainer

 

Position Highlights:

 Job Summary

The Lead Athletic Trainer will function as an extension of the manager/supervisor to facilitate efficient and effective operation of the assigned area. The lead utilizes independent and interdependent judgement and is expected to serve as a resource to staff, physicians, and clinic leadership.   Responsible for general oversight of the assigned group and in addition utilizes technical and customer services aptitudes for day-to-day patient services. The Lead will also perform all essential functions/duties of the Clinical Athletic Trainer position. 

Education and/or Experience

  • Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of athletic trainer experience is required.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training required.

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • Certification as an Athletic Trainer required through NATABOC.
  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the state of South Dakota required.
  • CSCS certification through the NSCA preferred.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $23.75-36.00 per hour
